Are you a patient person? If you asked me that question, my immediate answer would be, no way!
In certain scenarios, like queueing or waiting for an unknown amount of time, I feel my patience evaporate into thin air. Yet, paradoxically, in my one-to-one work, I’ve often been told that I’m incredibly patient.
So what’s the difference between waiting for the bus and waiting for someone to process a deep transformation? It comes down to control.
The Paradox of Control
In the first scenario, I have no control, and I resent it. But in the second, I also have no control and I like it that way.
Why? Because I love being the facilitator and witness to transformation. My role in this sacred process is to guide, support, and contain, but not to interfere. The experience belongs to the person undergoing it.
There’s a thrill in watching energy shift and breakthroughs emerge, and what’s humbling is that those breakthroughs aren’t something anyone can control. They arise from an intricate dance of trust, intuitive guidance, curiosity, and courage. Transformation defies timelines and guarantees; it’s subtle, unknowable, and deeply personal.
Your Relationship with Control
How do you relate to control? In what areas of your life do you willingly relinquish it, and where do you struggle?
Control is often an illusion, a defense mechanism against uncertainty. And yet, surrendering that illusion opens us to profound insights and growth.
Slowing Down: A Time for Integration
For a period of time in the near future (June and July), the energies around us will noticeably slow. This shift is purposeful. It’s not about stagnation but integration: a chance to assimilate, look around, and orient yourself to what’s already here.
The Sabian Symbol for this period (20 Pisces) emphasizes the value of slowing down and appreciating the abundance in our lives. While late-stage capitalism urges us to chase after what we lack, this moment invites us to pause and reflect on what we’ve already achieved, on the transformations that have brought us here.
Practicing Gentle Expectation
The coming months offer an opportunity to step back from the stress of trying to control outcomes. Instead, we can practice the subtle art of gentle expectation:
- Recognizing when we’re holding on too tightly to a specific result.
- Witnessing our own transformation with deep patience.
- Trusting that our needs are already met, even if we don’t know exactly how or when.
Thank you for sharing this journey with me. It’s a privilege to witness your growth and to share this space with you. You matter, and your transformation matters.
Sending love and sparkles,
Marina
